About Stanley Panek:
Born in 1970 in the small village of Dlugopole Poland south of Krakow in the Tatra mountains, Stanley started playing the violin at the age of 12 simply by ear. In high school he started an apprenticeship in carpentry and cabinet making. His neighbor across the street had a violin shop, and it was here that he fell in love with the violin. After an early start in violin making, the mandatory military service in Poland forced him to stop making instruments, and eventually he relocated to the Chicago area in 1992.
After a variety of carpentry and construction jobs provided some stability, Stanely again reunited with his love for instrument making, and began to slowly acquire the specialty tools and tonewoods from Europe to build instruments. Largely self taught, with occasional support from friend and luthier colleague Wladyslaw Bednarski, his instruments are making a name for themselves for their undeniable quality and craftsmanship.
Even though this is not a Fiddlerman or Holstein line instrument, this violin is still backed by our standard warranty and return policy.
