Theodore Heinrich, Markneukirchen Germany 1921 Violin (FS291)
This is a beautiful violin from Markneukirchen, Germany. It contains a generic, predated label from the trade company; (every violin that has a Theodore Heinrich label has the date 1921. The instrument could have been made up until the 1940’s).
Most of these violins were brought into the states by the Carl Fischer Music Company. Carl Fisher (1849-1923), who was himself a violinist, started his music store as an instrument repair shop in the East Village neighborhood of New York City. The shop supplied musicians with European instruments and sheet music. After WWII the company slowly started to focus primarily on the sale of sheet music.
The violin has a direct and clear sound. It has focused sweetness to the tone and plays very easily. There is moderate signs of use, however it is in good condition and has been fully restored and set up in our shop by our head luthier, Andrés M. Bilva.
- Varnish: Deep orange with golden hues
- Back: One piece maple back with fine tiger stripes
- Fittings: Ebony pegs and tailpiece, Wittner Augsburg chinrest
- Strings: Thomastik Dominant Pro Strings
Sale is for Instrument only.
Even though this is not a Fiddlerman or Holstein line instrument, this violin is still backed by our standard warranty and return policy.
